Who processes the data
Sporty is built and maintained by Serhii Honenko, an individual, Ukraine. Questions about your data, access to it and account deletion: [email protected]. This is the same address listed as the support contact in the Google Cloud Console.
Google sign-in
Sporty uses Google sign-in and requests three basic scopes only: openid, email and profile. Google returns your name, profile picture and email address to the app.
- The app neither requests nor reads Gmail, Calendar, Contacts, Google Drive, Google fitness data or browsing history.
- Google access tokens are not stored: Google confirms once that it is you, and the session is then managed by Supabase Auth.
- You can revoke access at any time on the permissions page of your Google account. That does not delete your Sporty account: deletion is described below.
What data appears inside the app
Everything else exists only because you entered it.
- Profile: nickname, an avatar from a preset set (uploading your own images is not possible), interface language, units, sex, weight, height and sports.
- Training: exercises, sets, weight, reps, time, notes and personal records.
- Leaderboard submissions: the result, the video link and the date.
- Settings, including the toggle that shows body weight on the leaderboard.
What is public
The Sporty leaderboard is open: its page can be viewed without signing in, so anyone can see the following.
- Name or nickname, avatar, the confirmed result, the video link and the date.
- Body weight is shown only while the toggle in Account is on. It is on by default and can be switched off at any time.
- Your email address is never shown, to anyone, including other members.
- Your training log, notes and records stay private until you submit a result to the leaderboard.
Video
Sporty stores no video files. A member provides a link to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Vimeo or Facebook, and the app keeps the URL only. Who can watch the video is decided by the privacy settings on that platform, not by Sporty. If you delete the video there, a dead link remains in Sporty and can be removed together with the result.
Where the data is stored
Data is stored in Supabase: a Postgres database, authentication and server functions. Keys to external services are held on the server only and never reach the app on your device.
AI features: most members do not have them
A new member receives a default role without the AI coach and without programme import. Access to AI features is granted manually, to individual members. The role is checked on the server, in Edge Functions, not by hiding tabs in the interface. If AI features are not granted to you, your data is never sent to any model.
Where data goes when AI features are enabled
- Your email address is never sent to a model. The nickname is sent if you have set one.
- Uploaded files are not stored: the text is parsed, the structure is written to the database and the original file is discarded.
- Model providers process this data as processors and have no access to the Sporty database.
OURA
OURA data reaches the app only for a member who connected their own OURA account. Today's snapshot then becomes part of the coach chat context. If you never connected OURA, Sporty holds no such data.
Notifications
Push notifications are sent only about decisions on your leaderboard submissions. The app sends no marketing messages.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept while the account exists. You can delete the account inside the app: it calls a server routine that removes the profile and the records linked to it, including your leaderboard results. The video link goes with the result, but the video itself stays on YouTube, Instagram or another platform: it belongs to you, the app never stored it and cannot delete it. If you need confirmation of the deletion or any help, write to [email protected].
Your rights
You can obtain a copy of your data, correct it, switch off the body weight display on the leaderboard, remove your result or delete the account entirely. Send requests to [email protected]; the reply comes within 30 days.
Age limit
Sporty is not intended for people under 16. This is a condition of use, not a check: the app does not verify age and has no age gate. If an account is found to belong to someone under 16, it will be deleted.
Changes to this policy
The updated date appears at the bottom of this page. Material changes will be announced in the app, above all changes to AI features and to the public leaderboard.
